Arbor Day of Service

For the past 30 years, the Massachusetts Arborists Association has recognized the importance of trees and proper tree care with its annual Arbor Day celebration. Since 1979, MAA members have come together, annually, to provide much needed tree care at non-profit sites throughout the Commonwealth. Many historically significant sites have benefited from 30 years of MAA volunteerism including The Boston Common, Pilgrim Memorial Park in Plymouth, MA, Castle Hill in Essex, MA and most recently Minuteman National Park in Concord, MA.

New in 2010

The MAA’s brand new volunteer initiative called an Arbor Day of Service will build on the success of the association’s traditional celebration by creating a statewide volunteer service day on Arbor Day, Friday, April 30, 2010.

Sponsors welcome!
The new MAA’s Arbor Day of Service offers many opportunities for tree care industry suppliers to show their support and maximize their marketing effort.
With a $500 sponsorship investment, industry suppliers will demonstrate a strong level of support for the MAA’s new Arbor Day of Service initiative and its mission to increase awareness of proper tree care while making a difference in local communities throughout Massachusetts.
In return, Arbor Day of Service sponsors will receive recognition in all print and electronic event promotion including news releases, signage, newsletters, e-mail blasts & web site. Another opportunity to drive business is for sponsors to offer discounts to Arbor Day of Service volunteers. Sponsor discount offers will be promoted to the MAA’s membership. Sponsors will also be invited to connect with key industry leaders at the Arbor Day of Service celebration scheduled for September 28, 2010.
