Arbor Day of Service | April 25, 2014
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
On April 26, 2013, MAA members initiated 41 unique projects – large and small – in town forests and botanic gardens, at public libraries and elementary schools, and in urban areas and rural spaces across the state. A number of those projects were selected from our on-line database of civic organizations that posted requests for professional tree care. In all, an estimated 3,000 volunteer hours and $250,000 in professional arboriculture services were donated in 40 Massachusetts communities.
This year, the MAA's Arbor Day of Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014. We hope you'll be one of the many tree care volunteers making a real difference in their own communities.
